Virtual Solar Sales

If you’ve been selling solar in home and face-to-face with homeowners, you may be a bit apprehensive about trying to sell solar remotely. Don’t be. Your sales skills still shine through via Zoom and yes, you can still read the homeowner quite well when doing virtual solar sales. It’s just like anything else that you haven’t done before. It may be uncomfortable for a while. But as they say, you need to get outside your comfort zone and be uncomfortable, to get comfortable. I have been in sales for decades and had never sold via Zoom. But it took only a few presentations to adjust and find the groove.

Here's a Quick Story About How You Can Connect with Homeowners via Zoom

Our business model is set up for selling virtually. However, you can still do in-home sales if you like. You can still get leads as you do now. Below is a video that will explain our entire business model. Before you contact me to ask questions and get more information, please watch this video.

The Benefits of Virtual Solar Sales

The benefits of selling solar from your home office far outweigh the fairly simple adjustments that are needed to do it well.

  • The first and most obvious advantage is that you’re not driving hundreds of miles a month which costs money and wastes time. And you won’t have to deal with no shows after making that drive.
  • Prepare system designs prior to meeting with the homeowner. Of course, you can do this with in-home sales as well if you have the utility bill ahead of time. But with virtual solar sales you will always have the utility bill before doing the design. You can take your time with the design and do it on your schedule.
  • If it’s not known whether the homeowner can utilize the federal tax credit, you can easily prepare a purchase and a TPO (third-party owned) option ahead of time. When you discover which is better for the homeowner, you can easily switch presentations.
  • This is obvious as well but worth mentioning. You can make more presentations per day and per week. When you take out the drive time to and from prospects, you open your day to do more.
  • Because you can make more presentations in a shorter period, you gain control of your schedule. If you are a parent as an example, you can now be home more and perhaps meet the bus after school or attend the games in the afternoon.
  • The entire US market opens up to you. If you’ve only been selling in your regional area, you can now sell throughout your state and in more than 35 states. This is particularly an advantage if you live in a state or area where utility rates are relatively low, and/or reimbursements rates from the utility company are low. Or perhaps you live in a state that doesn’t allow leases or PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements).

The 2 Big Questions You Want to Ask

Once you embrace the idea of virtual solar sales, now the 2 big questions have to do with getting leads and getting paid. In addition, you’re going to want to know who we use for installations around the country and a lot more.

Below is a 30-minute video that will explain all of that to you. In watching this video, you will realize that our business model is set up to pay top producing solar salespeople more money than they’ve ever made before in solar.

Just below the video is an link that will allow you to schedule a Zoom meeting with me to get your questions answered and see if this is the best fit for you and us. I look forward to meeting you.
